Vemma officially launched its own nonprofit organisation, the the Dottie Boreyko Foundation, at its Power of Why Convention on 11 February 2011 in Las Vegas. The Dottie Boreyko Foundation is a nonprofit organisation established in honor of Vemma Founder and CEO BK Boreyko's mother. The foundation carries on the legacy and spirit of Dottie Boreyko herself, who was known for her philanthropic work, particularly with children and women. The Dottie Boreyko Foundation helps to improve the lives of children around the world through philanthropic projects, including Vemma's NEXT Helping Now Project, Children's Miracle Network Hospitals and HealthCorps. |

Euromonitor International research shows that non-store channel in the Baltic States is relatively significant, as it outperforms Western Europe’s average in terms of Beauty and Personal Care production distribution. Non-store Beauty and Personal Care sales accounted for 18%, 25% and 15% of total market value in Lithuania, Latvia and Estonia in 2010 respectively. The key contributors to non-store channel success in the Baltic States are direct sellers and internet retailers. |

As the Russian Direct Selling Association (RDSA) reports, direct sales and network marketing have grown into a $3 billion business in Russia, with companies like Amway, Avon, and Herbalife showing record results in 2010 and solid growth potential this year. Amway has recruited an army of 930,000 individuals working as sales distributors, reached 15.2 billion rubles ($538 million) last year, beating its 2008 record of 14.9 billion. "We had a very good year," Amway chief financial officer Richard Stevens said this week.

Dietary supplement marketer Immunotec Inc. has managed to greatly narrow its full-year loss in fiscal 2010 despite a drop in revenue. The Quebec-based network marketing company has narrowed its full-year net loss from $4.5 million in fiscal 2009 to $1.4 million in fiscal 2010. Revenues for the year ended Oct. 31 totalled $40.3 million, down from $44.7 million the previous year. |
